Seeing in Macro

This is another pint cozy I finished the other night - the colorway is called 'Chocolate Cupcake.'  I love it!  It makes the yarn so much more cheerful.  :)  I just finished another eyelet beret, and have a few more on the needles.  I'm also about to start another "Gap-inspired cowl." Suffice it to say studying has taken a backseat this weekend!

I've been staring out my living room windows the last few days and admiring our plum tree, which is starting to bloom (thanks to the major heat wave we had this week!), so a little bit ago I went out to shoot it, and here are a few images I love.  One of my facebook friends commented on the first one asking if I would be willing to sell it to her in the future for the cover of a book she's writing - I couldn't believe it!  Hopefully she'll still want it as her cover once she's done writing - then I'll finally be a published photographer, and give me a leg up on getting my name out.  Cross your fingers!  xx

Rays of Sunshine

Wow, school stress reached an all new level this week.  But, the week is finally (finally) over!  I realize it's Thursday - since I don't have classes on Fridays, my week ends today.  :)   And I'm sorry I haven't posted anything since last Sunday!  It was a pretty uneventful week and a half, just extremely, extremely busy.  I met up with Will last weekend to catch up, and knitted myself a slouchy beret, which you see above.  Other than that, I had 13-15 hour days: school, to work, then to home for hours of homework.

Perhaps the highlight of the last few days is the marvolous warm streak we've been having!  Sunglasses, t-shirts, and sandals weather in all its glory.  Totally fabulous!  Anyway, here are the projects I've finished over the last few weeks - I'll be posting them on Etsy within the next few hours, so keep an eye out!   xx

{edit: items are up and you can find them here!}

PS.  An extra thank you to my baby sister Sarah for modeling!

This & That #6

This:  Lots and lots and lots of knitting!  I'm working on a few headbands right now.  You can also see the neon pint cozy that I mentioned in my last post, which you can find here.
That:  Pizza leftovers for dinner.  Yum!

I am having quite an excellent time procrastinating studying for my precalc test tomorrow... it's been a lovely afternoon filled with the finest love movies TV has to offer, and countless stitches.  I have a feeling studying won't get done until late tonight... I have such awful motivation skills.  xx

New Logo!

The other day I got my first order from an Etsy customer, and so I spent yesterday creating a new logo for my packages, and here is the result!  I also made matching care instruction cards to put inside the package.  I'm quite happy about the way they came out.  :)

Today I'm working on a neon yellow wool pint cozy.  Could anything be happier??  I can't wait to finish it.  I also added a new item to my shop: an ivory eyelet cowl.  Check it out!  I'm sorry this post is so short - it's been a pretty lazy and boring weekend!  I hope yours is just as relaxing.  :)  xx

Knitting Up a Storm

So... let's ignore the fact that I haven't posted anything for a whole week, shall we?  I can't even begin to express how busy I've been... Already I'm falling behind on homework because I've been going straight to work after class.  Finally, I have most of a day off!  The last five hours of today have been luxuriously laid-back, and (mostly) stress-free.  Definitely a much needed break.

So here are some pictures of the knitting I've been doing lately.  I wore the blue beret today, and unfortunately I'm going to have to take it out and start over... It's too loose and I had to keep fixing it so it wouldn't fall off my head.  Otherwise, it's to die for.  The cowl is a pattern I wrote after a girl came into my work the other day wearing this beautiful infinity scarf, which she told me she got from the Gap.  So, here is the actual Gap cowl, and my take on it.

& included some quick snaps of my life lately, to make up for my absence!  xx

Knitting for Confidence #3

I am now a published designer!  I'm ridiculously happy about this new chapter in my knitting endeavors.  :)  I am incredibly excited that a handful of people have already queued my pattern on Ravelry, but nervous at the same time!  So, that's why I've made this a Knitting for Confidence post.  I'm super stoked to get started on writing more of my own patterns!  Stay tuned.  :)

You can find my pattern on Etsy and Ravelry.  xx

Four-Eyed Buttons

As promised, here is the post on what's been keeping me so busy!  I have now completed four iPhone cases, and have started the fifth.  I love small projects like this - so much instant gratification!  And since I'm trying to build my Etsy shop inventory, speed is key...

The other thing I finished last weekend is this super warm and plush herringbone cowl.  I am in love with this stitch, and can't wait to make more infinity scarves like it in different colors!

Other than that, not much to report on... my mom is in Denver for a week, so with the house to myself, things are pretty quiet..  Hope you're having a lovely Wednesday afternoon.  xx
